The Bengals come out rolling against a hyped up Baltimore Ravens team who smashed the terrible Buffalo Bills last week. Will Cincinnati get any national respect from the NFL or National Media? Ha ha ha …. yeah, right.
Let’s see what they have to say in this week’s #BengalsHate:
First, the headline from ESPN, which reads, “NFL Is on Notice of Rising Young Talent in Cincinnati” … uh, nope. Instead, the unbeaten Bengals are “still searching for their true identity” and “had its share of struggles.”
Let’s pop over to NFL.com and read the headline: “… Andy Dalton and AJ Green teamed up … while the injury bug hit Baltimore hard.” You can’t just give a compliment to the Bengals, right? Because, you know, the real reason why AJ Green had 3 touchdowns is because C.J. Mosely wasn’t guarding him.
But don’t worry, they mentioned that Micheal Johnson and Billy Price missed basically the whole game. No? Well, they mentioned that Joe Mixon was limited due to injury, right? Riiiiiiight. Uh, no. The Bengals won because Baltimore was injured.
Let’s head over to CBSSports.com. This one is true, but just made me laugh. … The Bengals looked GREAT … then, they didn’t because they are “just another team.”
Oh, man … I just have to laugh.
“Nobody thinks the Bengals are a powerhouse” … but they are in the mix to go 8-8 and get a Wild Card. Ha ha ha. The optimism abounds.
CBS, “LISTEN PEOPLE. I TOLD YOU. IT’S ONLY WEEK 2. THE BENGALS WILL NOT KEEP THIS UP. HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO TELL YOU? I’VE TOLD YOU A ZILLION BAZILLION TIMES!! LISTEN TO ME!! LISTEN TO MEEEE!!!! THE BENGALS ARE. NOT. GOOD.”

If this is the national love the Bengals are forced to get after a 2-0 start, just wait until they lose a tough road game. Oh, I can’t wait for the hate.
