Why West Chester, Ohio is a Great Place to Live and Build your Family

What’s so great about this place? Well, first of all, where are we at? We’re on the north side of Cincinnati. West Chester township kind of straddles I-75, just maybe southwest of Dayton, a little bit west of I-71. It’s a mostly suburban feel. There’s room to spread out. You have a lot of these neighborhoods, suburban houses, really strong jobs. The public schools are very, very strong here. You have a lot of families that live in West Chester, Ohio as well as professionals.

When you look at West Chester, a huge reason why so many families choose to live here is that the schools are great. In West Chester Township, the public schools are top-rated. You have multiple schools. You have Lakota West Lakota East, and Mason High Schools that are all within West Chester Township. All are rated very well, very strongly. Property values remain really strong and your kids are going to get a great education if you live here in West Chester.

Now, today I’m out here previewing a home that is actually pending on the market. I’m on Deer Path Drive and this house is a four-bedroom, five-bath home that went Pending. The back of it is Beckett Ridge golf course, overlooking the fairway. We’re kind of at the top of the hill here. I just wanted to give you guys a quick look at what a home might look like that’s pending in the area. The median home value in West Chester Township is about $220,000. This home was for sale for $520,000.

So there’s a range of homes, but in terms of the amount of square footage you’re getting for this house, which is a little over 4,000 feet. It’s not uncommon to find large homes like this in West Chester with lots of square feet and room to spread out.

I actually just ran into the buyer inside, who is getting a quote for some new flooring before they close on it. She says, “Look, we love this house. It’s wide open. We’re going to do a lot of hosting here. We thought this was a great price. We’re super excited to get this home.” Here’s a look at one of the homes for sale in West Chester, Oh.

How is the Weather in West Chester?

It’s early January here in Cincinnati, Ohio, and it’s cold, it’s gray. It’s not uncommon for the weather to be like this. I recommend that if you are moving to Cincinnati and if you haven’t lived here before, but if you’re coming from a state that sees more sunshine, that you go ahead and plan some trips in January or February just to get out of the cold, gray winter that we have here.

One thing that is great about Cincinnati, OH weather is that you get to experience different seasons. Spring through Autumn are wonderful! But, when it gets to be late January and February, you might be a little short on Vitamin D. So, figure out a way to get some sunshine. 🙂

All right, guys. I came over here and sorry for the noise. I’m just off the highway over by Ikea, which is in West Chester. If you’ve ever driven through Cincinnati, it’s one of the markers you could see off the highway, off interstate I-75, so that you know that it’s here. Just to show you some of the restaurants, some of the shops that are here, if you can see behind me here, this net right here, they’ve got a Top Golf here in West Chester, which Top Golf is pretty fun… Also a lot of good golf courses here in the area.

Why Residents Love Living in West Chester, OH

There are a lot of reasons why you might want to be buying a home and live in West Chester. There are also a lot of homes for sale in West Chester with great amenities. West Chester has top-rated schools, a suburban feel, new construction homes, and some other homes that have been maybe built in the last 10, 20 years, a safe environment, a great place to raise a family, a great place to live.

Also, there are a lot of different kinds of jobs. The economy has just been really strong here since you’re in between Cincinnati and Dayton, or at least on the north side of Cincinnati.
